Psalm 145:15-16
One of the astonishing things
that God has done is to create the universe and takes pleasure in His
creatures.
We know this in Genesis
chapter 1 that describes for us not only the fact of an ordered creation by
God, but also God’s response to them. About five times, if you recall, God
stands back to take stock of His creation. Each time the text says, ‘’And God
saw that it was good’’ (verses 4, 12, 18 21 25). And when all was finished, man
and woman were created in His own image, it says, ‘’And God saw everything that
He had made and behold it was very good.’’
This is to mean that God was
extremely delighted with His work, and when he looked at it, it gave Him
pleasure. He was pleased. The joy of God is because they are the expression of
His glory, they praise Him and reveal His incomparable power and wisdom.
Not only this, the Lord was
also able to satisfy the desires of every living things that He has created
(Genesis 1:30). Moreover, God preserves us and satisfies us in Psalm 103:5 with
good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagles. Furthermore, the Lord
in Psalm 145:13 has been genuinely faithful to all His promises and loving
towards all that He has made, including you and I.
Therefore, as rightly concluded by the psalmist, our mouth should continually speak in praise of our God and every creatures He has created should continually praise His holy name for ever and ever.
