God the Creator of All Things - Prayer

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.” John 12:1-4

In the beginning, was the word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God. All praises and adoration and honour and worship belong to God the creator of heaven and earth. “ Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the father of spirits and live? Hebrew 12:9.

We should love Him, honour Him and serve Him alone. We should worship Him and pay close attention to His words in order to obey them in every detail, esteeming Him and considering Him alone worthy of being worship.

The amazing fact about the creation is that God needed to say just three words! “Let there be” and it was there immediately. Isn’t that great?

Now in the time of the new covenant, God is again in the process of creating something new. This time, it is something new in us. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. 2 Cor 5:17.

Yet, instead of obeying Him, serving, praising and worshipping Him, most people do what is written in Roman 1:25, “ who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worship all kinds of created things like intelligence, beauty, wealth, accomplishments and talents, instead of honouring or worshipping God. Consequently, they are prone to things like idolising people, jealousy, sexual immorality, pride, un-thankfulness and much more.

If only we were to see higher than all these created things to the creator of all things, we would see that the only value and meaning in all of these things is such as can be used for God’s glory.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Sing: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, honour and power, for Thou has created all things, and for Thy pleasure, they are and were created (Revelation 4:11). Now begin to worship God, the Creator of all things.

2. We worship You our God, the Giver of life and strength. In You we live, we move and have our being (Acts 17:28).

3. We praise You our God. You have brought us out of the darkness of this wicked world into Your marvellous light (I Peter 2:9).

4. We praise You Lord, the King of kings and Lord of lords. You alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light. Honour and everlasting power belong to You (I Timothy 6:16).

5. We praise You our God, the Creator of all things. You made us in Your image and gave us dominion over all Your creation. You are wonderful (Genesis 1:28).

6. We praise You Lord, for the plan of redemption. When man fell, You quickly made a provision for his restoration. Thank You our Father (John 1:29).

7. Thank You our God, for showing forth Your glory through the manifestation of Your dear Son Jesus Christ (John 1:14, 18).

8. We praise You Lord. As we call upon You in this spiritual journey, You will do wonders. You will deliver, save and protect us in Jesus’ name (2 Samuel 2:24).

9. We thank You our Father, the Covenant keeping God. You remember Your covenants of Grace, Mercy, Favour and Peace always and have kept them with us in Jesus’ name (Isaiah 54:10; 2 Chronicles 6:14).

10. We praise You Lord, we are fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are Your works towards us. Glory be to Your name forever in Jesus’ name (Psalm 139:14).

11. We thank You our Father. As we call on You in prayer and fasting, we receive total victory over the works of the enemy, and obtain mercy and favour for answered prayers in Jesus’ name (Jeremiah 29:11-14).

12. We praise You Lord, for showing us clearly our position in Christ Jesus. We sit and reign with Christ in the heavenly places far above all principalities and powers in Jesus’ name (Ephesians 2:4-7).

13. God the Creator of all things, we praise You. The Deliverer, who delivers from all troubles and calamities, we bless Your great and glorious name (2 Corinthians 1:8-10).

14. God the Creator of all things, we thank You. The Mighty Warrior who has never lost a battle, You are the Wonderful present help in times of need. We praise Your name (Exodus 15:3; Psalm 46:1)

15. Sing 3 times: Ancient of Days, and so as You are 2x You will never change. Ancient of Days, and so as You are 2x You will never change.

Now, let us begin to praise and worship the Ancient of Days, the Alpha and Omega, the God who declares the end from the beginning (Psalm 90:2).
