“Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Isaiah 43:7
“Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” Isaiah 43:7
In Christian parlance, Glory is related with ascribing splendour and majesty to God. It may also mean to put confidence in and boast about or praise God. In the Old Testament, glory is seen in the idea of greatness of splendour and in New Testament it is mostly used to refer to dignity, honour, praise, and worship.
If Prophet Isaiah has revealed the purpose of our creation to us ‘‘Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” We must then ponder on why give glory to God or why would God who created all things not give glory to Himself? BUT let us remember that God is the Creator, and we are mere creations.
We must always understand that HE created us for His purpose and one of such is to glorify Him. If we choose not to, HE has the same power to replace us. Luke 19:40 ‘But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out’.
Let us therefore glorify God
by:
1. By Believing & having
Faith in Him. (Rom 4:3)
2. By Declaring Him (Ps
19:1-4 )
3. Through our worship in all that we do (1 Cor 10:31)
Finally, let us fulfil the purpose He created us by allowing His name to be glorified in us and we in Him. (2 Thess 1:12)
