God’s Word tells us to fight the good fight of faith. We are called to be spiritual warriors in God’s kingdom. We are soldiers in the Army of God.
The purpose of an army is to ensure freedom and liberty. Without
these things we would live under another’s domination. In the spiritual world,
the battle over world domination has already been fought and won by our Lord
Jesus Christ. Yet Satan’s lease on this world has not run out. We
still have to contend with him for a little bit longer. We can
however take solace in the fact that we don’t have to fight him. We
do however have to fight the good fight of faith in order to walk in
the victory that has already been won.
We as Christians can sometimes get tired of the constant battle
that comes with our faith walk. However, we have been equipped to do
battle and walk in victory. We know that Jesus promised us He would never
leave us or forsake us. He is always there whether we feel like it or not.
Always!
We have been called into this army for a purpose, God’s purpose.
His purpose is for us to walk as children of the light, and declare
the good news of the Gospel wherever we go.
We have been called to fulfil the great commission as ambassadors
for Christ. May God continually strengthening us.
PRAYER POINTS
2. O Lord, I confess all my
sins that can hinder me from victory in the fight of faith and ask for
forgiveness in Jesus’ name (Psalm 51:1-4).
3. O Lord, empower me and equip
me with strength and energy to enable me to continuously fight the good fight
of faith in Jesus’ name.
4. Lord, give me the grace and
strength to stay in this match and finish it to completion in Jesus’ name.
5. Lord, continue to boost
my spirit of determination and commitment to keep up the good fight of faith
until I can say the fight is finished and victory is accomplished in
Jesus’ name.
6. O Lord, I pray for everyone
that is struggling with their faith and I pray that such person will
overcome the struggle in Jesus’ name.
7. O Lord, have mercy on me, so
that I will not lose the battle while fighting the good fight of faith in
Jesus’ name.
8. Lord, I rebuke any form of
distraction that could allow me to lose my focus as I am fighting this good
fight of faith in Jesus’ name.
9. O Lord, I acknowledge that we
are not fighting against flesh and blood, I therefore bind every spiritual
power that could be interfering with my faith and I put them into bondage in
Jesus’ name (Ephesians 6:12).
10. I invite the Holy
Spirit to fill me and renew me afresh in Jesus’ name.
11. O Lord, You are the
mighty man of battle, help me as You helped David
while fighting Goliath and let me be victorious in Jesus’ name
(1 Samuel 17:48-53).
12. Lord, don’t let me
fight in vain, let me be counted worthy of Your kingdom at the last
day in Jesus’ name.
13. Lord, increase my wisdom and
understanding of Yourwords, teach me how to pray and how to use relevant
words to enable me to fight the good fight of faith in Jesus’
name.
14. O Lord, give me the power to
overcome the flesh while fighting the good fight of faith in Jesus’ name.
15. Lord, I thank You for answering my prayer.
