In 1 Kings 6, Solomon's devotion to building the Temple signifies the peak of Israel’s spiritual commitment, embodying God’s promise and glory among His people. Following Solomon’s death, the united kingdom fractures into Judah and Israel, leading to political instability and spiritual decay. King Ahab’s reign epitomizes this downfall, highlighted by his marriage to Jezebel, which brought the worship of Baal into Israel and provoked God’s anger.
