If you are not a fan of Late Nelson Mandela, today is obviously not your day. Since the news of his death filtered through the media to the street, it has been a stream of incredible outpour of encomiums and emotional eulogies to the man who lived an exemplary life.
The British media all struggled to stay on top of the news by dedicating their front and back pages to Madiba; those who through misery offered him half front page coverage are counting their loses now; most of the newspapers have to put their routine front page averts aside to display the image they have kept ready for this day.
Mandela was not just a regional icon, he was a great influence to everyone, no wonder the UK Sun newspaper called him the world president.
In my own words, Mandela was a representation of the level of humanity that we crave for but rare to come by; he had a large heart big enough to accommodate everyone even his perceived enemies. As you leave this sinful world to the great beyond, wish you an eternal rest. Adieu Madiba.
