Reflection on Jeremiah 51–Ezekiel 13

The passage from Jeremiah 51 to Ezekiel 13 reflects God’s sovereignty, justice, and relentless pursuit of truth. Jeremiah 51 concludes with the prophesied fall of Babylon, symbolizing God's ultimate authority over nations. Babylon, a symbol of pride and rebellion, faces divine judgment, affirming that no power can stand against God’s will. This reminds us of the transient nature of worldly power and the certainty of God’s justice.

As the narrative transitions to Ezekiel, the focus shifts to Judah’s rebellion and God’s call to repentance. Ezekiel's prophetic visions reveal the depths of human sin and the consequences of turning away from God. In Ezekiel 8–11, we see the glory of God departing from the temple due to the people's idolatry and corruption, a vivid reminder that God does not dwell where sin is rampant.
