Points of referral to meet the individual needs of learners

Whenever I'm made aware or realises as a teacher the needs of any learner that are affecting their learning; these may be problems such as financial issues, family problems, or lack of transport. I should be able to help with some of these problems, for example setting up online resources for learners who are unable to regularly attend classes.

There are always two referral points; one within the school or organisation and the ones external to the school.
Examples of referral points within the school or organisations are; students services or support, Career services, learning mentors, international offices amongst others.

Examples of referral points for external organisations are; Local council, jobcentre, UK Border Agency and more
