Thought For The Day

Attack is the best form of defence, start a fight today against Boko Haram; if you think you would wait to defend yourself when they appear to attack you, you are deceiving yourself because you won’t see them coming. They appear on the street just like everyone of us and we do not have any technology in place to monitor anyone hence the need for every community to form vigilante groups, ask everyone in possession of fire arms and explosives to submit them in 7 days and give them pardon. After 7 days, embark on house to house search; decide on how you want to handle culprits and take no prisoners. In war, everyone is a fighter; the best the police can do at the moment is to confirm attacks when they happen. The integrity of the security outfits in Nigeria has been compromised and no one can be trusted; the president himself is not even sure who is for him or against him. The politicians behind all of these have missed it because their aim of government change to allow for their enthronement will forever be left on the bed of wishes, the centre can no longer hold and it will take an absolute grace of God and his intervention to make the last line of our National Anthem “Peace and Unity” be relevant to us anymore. Those against the President are smiling and happy at the predicaments of the country at the moment; I can only pity them; those smiles would soon be wiped away when they themselves fall victims of the menace. At times like this; if you don’t show support for the leaders; they will be left alone doing the fight and they will never win the battle; fight such as this are better won when people rise to the occasion. For those that want Soldiers out of the street of Lagos, maybe you should have a rethink; we need Soldiers on the street of all major cities at the moment to combat this miscreants head on; Lagos is vulnerable and highly susceptible to attack; if you ask them to leave now, I’m sure you will soon be begging for them to return. Everyone went on the street to fight for subsidy removal, I’ve not seen any of the civil groups on the street protesting against the killings up north. I have been making consultations and trying to get someone at the National Assemblies to move a motion for a referendum to be held on the future on the country; I’m very sure that we would have up to 70% of Nigerians who no longer want the union to be. It’s better for the country to disintegrate amicably, hug and kiss ourselves good-bye than to do it the violent way and destroy every opportunity for future friendship; we would still be neighbours and would need some level of camaraderie when it’s all over.
