IMF policies are ideal in ideal situations and environments in which Africa is not literally part of.

Fuel subsidy to a reasonable extent does not help an economy but the irony of its subsistence is that, it helps the poor masses in an environment of despicable economy.

Fuel subsidy on the long run will continue to put us behind and still open illicit avenues for the few corrupt charlatans to share what belongs to all in the name of subsidy grant.

I will advise that we keep fuel subsidy for now for at least another 36months to allow all the refineries to bounce back. If our refineries are working optimally, subsidy removal will have little effect on the public as PMS would have once again become a local commodity.
