Memorise: Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14
Read: Hebrews 1:8-9
One characteristic of God that He can never compromise is holiness. His holiness is so sure that he swears by it often, as it is in Amos 4:2 & Psalms 89:35.

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

God is not just holy, He also wants us to be partakers of His Holiness (Hebrews 12:10b). But why is God so particular about us living a holy life? It is because He wants us to continually have fellowship with Him right here on earth and for that fellowship to continue when we see Him at the end. Our God is a holy God and He says in Hebrews 12:14, without holiness no one will see God. Before the advent of sin, man had no problems. Today, our Father desires that we live a life devoid of problems, hence the need for us to be holy. Living a life of holinesses also helps to establish our heart in Him thereby increasing the boldness of our faith.

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father……….. 1 Thessalonians 3:13
If you are living a holy life, you will be bold in your faith and you will be able to move mountains before you, irrespective of size. When sin is in your life, you will lack the courage to pray for the sick to be healed.

From today’s Bible reading we derive the revelation that living a holy life commands an outstanding anointing. According to Isaiah 10:27, the anointing destroys yokes. You cannot bind an anointed man, but if you succeed in doing so, the anointing will destroy the yokes. This was the case with Samson (Judges 15:9-16). The anointing provides the anointed security and protection from known and unknown enemies. God warns: “Touch not mine anointed” (Psalm 105:15). This is why David could enjoy God’s provision right before the peering eyes of his enemies (Psalm 23:5). But if the anointed swims in sin, the anointing on the fellow may not deliver protection. If you are anointed, the enemy cannot prevent you from enjoying God’s blessings except you let him. From today, ask God for grace to live a holy life all the days of your life.

PRAYER POINTS:
Pray that as you enter this month, you will grow in the knowledge of God and your blessings shall be double.
