Memorise: Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments: and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Revelation 3:4
Read: Revelation 3:1-6
During the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, the saints shall be clothed in white robes (Revelations 19:7-9). A white robe is significant in many ways: it connotes festivities (Ecclesiastes 9:7-9). While speaking of eating and drinking, verse 8 says your dress must be white. This shows a correlation among certain variables i.e. between feasting, holiness and anointing. If you want to celebrate and remain anointed of God, your robe of righteousness must not be stained. Conversely, if your garment is soiled, your feast may soon end and your head will lack oil. Are things suddenly becoming so bad and unbearable? Find out if your garment is unspotted. It is possible that sin is the culprit. A particular minister of God who had been rising and falling over a period of time carefully observed that each time he is in sin, promises and prospects turn sour, and his hopes are dashed. Even after he made his ways right before God, it takes quite a while before things start responding in a positive manner. There is no gain in sin! Keep off from it.

Similarly, white connotes victory (Revelation 3:5a) and implies purity (Revelation 19:8). Whenever you are in right standing with God and undefiled, you are spiritually clad in robes of righteousness. Furthermore, those who are in white robes are those whose names are retained in the lamb’s Book of Life (Revelation 3:5). This implies that, those who teach that once saved forever saved (doctrine of eternal security) have missed it. When you give your life to Christ, your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of life. But if you defile your garment by living a lifestyle of sin, your name will be removed from the book. Is your name still in the Lamb’s Book of Life?

PRAYER POINT:
Father, grant me the grace to live a lifestyle that keeps my name in the Book of Life in Jesus name.
Bible in one year: Hebrews 1-4
